NH Municipal Cyber Defense Program

A grant-based partnership between ATOM, US Homeland Security, and NH Department of Information Technology to enhance the protection of our communities.

PROTECTING NH STARTS WITH YOU.

The MCDP consists of four pillars of cybersecurity readiness for Municipal Government entities in the State of New Hampshire. These pillars are:

  1. Proactive Education and Training for public workers

  2. Cybersecurity Emergency Response Planning and Tabletop Exercises

  3. Cybersecurity Vulnerability Overviews, Custom Content, and On-Demand Webinars, including a 20-part series of CIS Controls Implementation Groups 1 and 2

  4. Hands-on workshops for IT personnel working for municipalities that have significant cybersecurity responsibilities to safeguard public data and trust

Our program is different.

It is deployed in partnership with the New Hampshire Public Risk Management Exchange's Risk Managers. Our program is modular and adaptable in a customized matrix where the delivery of content is based on 3 key traits.

These traits are:

1. The type of municipality receiving the content.

2. The job description of the person receiving the training.

3. The existing cybersecurity readiness training of the organization.

Much of the content delivery is in person but will also be made available to wider audiences through the New Hampshire Public Risk Management Exchange Cyber Portal, which is available to over 550 entities in New Hampshire.
